Privacy Policy

Effective September 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ZOX LLC, a ZOX company (“we,” “us,” “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use 10,000 Prayers (the “Service”). The Service is owned by ZOX, is free, and carries advertising, including advertising for ZOX. Two things are worth stating at the outset: only a first name ever appears in the prayer, and the text of what you write is never shown to other users and is never used to target advertising to you personally.

1. Our Approach in Plain Language

You need an account to use the Service, so we will have your email address (or a sign-in token from Apple or Google). You still do not have to give us your own name, and only a first name ever appears in a prayer.

Because your submissions are tied to your account, we can find them and delete them for you if you ask. Who can see them inside the company is restricted, as described in Sections 4 and 6.

The only thing anyone else will ever see is a first name, grouped under a broad theme like "healing" or "grief."

The details of what you write in a prayer request are never shown to other users, never appear in the daily prayer, and are deleted on a fixed schedule.

We do not sell your personal information.

The Service is free because ZOX owns and pays for it. You will see ZOX ads in the app, and there is nothing to buy inside it.

The app contains advertising and analytics technology, including tracking pixels and SDKs, which is described in Section 5. You can opt out.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

Prayer submissions: a first name (yours or someone else's), whether the request is for you or someone you love, and any optional text you write describing the need. Submissions you make are associated with your account.

Account information: an account is required to use the Service, so we collect an email address and password (or a sign-in token from a provider such as Apple or Google), your date of birth, which we use to check eligibility, the date the account was created, and your saved preferences.

Preferences: notification settings and preferred delivery time.

Correspondence: anything you send us when you contact support.

2.2 Information collected automatically

Device and app data: device type, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, and a random installation identifier we generate (not your device's advertising ID).

Usage data: whether the app was opened, when the daily prayer was viewed, whether a submission was made, and interactions with sharing or "this prayer moved me" features. This is how we count how many people prayed each day.

Push notification token: if you enable notifications, the token needed to deliver them.

Crash and performance data: technical logs that help us fix errors.

Advertising and measurement data: when ads are displayed in the app, our advertising partners receive information needed to serve and measure them — that an ad was requested, shown, or tapped, your device type and operating system, your coarse location derived from IP address (country, state, or city level — not precise location), your language, and a resettable advertising identifier if you have not limited ad tracking on your device.

We do not collect precise location. We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.

2.3 Sensitive information

Prayer requests may naturally include information about health, mental health, religious beliefs, family circumstances, or other sensitive topics - about you or about someone you are praying for. We treat all submission text as sensitive personal information. Because an account is required, submission text is linked to your account for as long as it is retained. It is used only for automated theme assignment and prayer generation, is never displayed to others, is never sold, is never shared with advertisers, is never used to build an advertising profile about you, and is deleted as described in Section 7.

By submitting this information you consent to its processing as described in this Policy. Please avoid including details that could identify a specific person (last names, locations, employers, medical providers, and so on).

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

generate the daily prayer by assigning each submission to a theme and including first names within that theme;

deliver the daily prayer and notifications at your chosen time;

count and display community participation (for example, "9,412 people prayed yesterday");

create, authenticate, and maintain your account, including verifying your email address and checking that you meet the minimum age, and maintain your archive and list of names you have submitted;

monitor for abuse, spam, and prohibited content;

display advertising in the app and measure whether it was seen or tapped, so that the Service can remain free;

fix bugs, understand how the Service is used in aggregate, and improve it;

respond to your questions; and

comply with legal obligations.

We do not use submission text to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent any personal information. Advertising in the app is supported by the usage, device, and aggregate information described in Section 5 — not by what you write in a prayer request.

4. Automated Processing and AI

Every prayer submission is read and processed by automated systems, including a third-party artificial intelligence provider. These systems (a) assign each request to a broad spiritual theme and (b) draft the single daily prayer that is sent to all users. A member of our team reviews the drafted prayer before it is delivered. The prayer text contains first names and themes only.

We contractually require our AI provider not to use your submissions to train its models and to delete data after processing.

Theme assignment does not produce legal or similarly significant effects on you, and it is not a solely automated decision: the resulting prayer is reviewed by a person before it goes out. That review covers the drafted prayer itself. Our reviewers do not read individual submission text as a matter of routine, and do so only where necessary to investigate abuse reports, technical failures, or legal requests.

Aggregate, de-identified statistics derived from theme assignment — for example, that a given share of submissions on a given day related to grief — may be used to understand how the Service is used and, as described in Section 5, to decide what categories of advertising are appropriate to run in the app generally. These statistics describe the community as a whole and are not linked to you, your device, or your account.

5. Advertising, Analytics, and Tracking Pixels

5.1 Why there is advertising

The Service is free and there is nothing to buy in it. ZOX owns the app and pays for it, and ZOX advertising and, where applicable, other sponsors’ advertising appear in the app.

5.2 Tracking pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies

We and our advertising and analytics partners use tracking technologies in the app and on any web pages we operate. These include:

Tracking pixels (also called web beacons or clear GIFs): tiny, invisible image files embedded in a screen, email, or web page that signal when that content was loaded or viewed, and record basic technical details such as IP address, device type, browser, and timestamp.

Software development kits (SDKs): code from advertising, analytics, and attribution partners that is built into the app and collects the data described in Section 2.2 in order to request, display, and measure ads.

Cookies and local storage: used on any web pages associated with the Service to keep the site working and to measure traffic.

Conversion and attribution tracking: when you tap an ad and then take an action on the advertiser’s site, a pixel or SDK may report that the action followed from an ad shown in this app.

These technologies are used to serve ads, measure whether ads were displayed and tapped, limit how often you see the same ad, detect ad fraud, and understand app performance.

5.3 What is and is not used to select ads

Ads may be selected using: aggregated and de-identified information about how the Service is used; your device and app data (device type, operating system, language, app version); coarse location derived from IP address; your resettable device advertising identifier, unless you have limited ad tracking; and your interactions with ads in the app.

Ads are not selected using: the text of your prayer requests; your email address or any other account identity; the first names you submit; the specific themes assigned to your individual submissions; or any health, mental health, or religious detail you have written. Submission text is never disclosed to an advertiser or ad network.

Because 10,000 Prayers is itself a religious app, an advertiser may infer from the fact that you use it that you have an interest in faith-related content. If you would rather not have that inference drawn, you can opt out of personalized advertising as described below.

5.4 Your advertising choices

Device-level opt-out: on iOS, decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt or turn off Allow Apps to Request to Track. On Android, turn on Delete advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalization in your device settings.

In-app opt-out: you may turn off personalized advertising in the app’s privacy settings. You will still see ads, but they will not be personalized.

Opt out of sale or sharing: if you are in a U.S. state that gives you this right, you may opt out of any sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising by using the in-app control or by contacting bros@zox.co. We honor Global Privacy Control signals on our web properties.

Under 18: we do not show personalized or targeted advertising to any user we know to be under 18, and we do not sell or share the personal information of users under 16 for advertising purposes.

5.5 Ads take you to third-party sites

Tapping an ad, including a ZOX ad, opens a third-party website or app. Once you arrive there, that site’s terms of service and privacy policy govern, not this one. We do not control what that site collects, how it uses it, or whom it shares it with. Purchases and transactions you make there are between you and that third party. Please read the terms and privacy policy of any site you are taken to.

6. How We Share Information

We share information only in these circumstances:

In the daily prayer: first names, grouped by theme, are included in the prayer delivered to all users. No other submission details are shared.

Service providers: we use vendors for cloud hosting, database storage, AI processing, push notifications, crash reporting, and customer support. They may access information only to perform services for us and are bound by confidentiality obligations.

Advertising and analytics partners: we share the device, usage, and measurement data described in Sections 2.2 and 5 with the partners who serve and measure ads in the app. We do not share prayer submission text, first names submitted, or individual theme assignments with them. Depending on your state, some of this may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, and you may opt out as described in Section 5.4.

ZOX: ZOX owns the Service, so information collected by the app is held within the ZOX corporate family rather than transferred to an outside company. Prayer submission text is not made available to ZOX marketing or commercial teams and is not used for ZOX product development or advertising.

Legal reasons: if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users, the public, or us.

Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

With your direction: when you use a sharing feature, the content you choose to share (for example, a prayer share card) goes to the app or person you select.

7. Data Retention

Submission text (the prayer request details): It is retained only long enough to generate the prayer and to review any abuse reports. While it is retained, it is linked to the account that submitted it.

First names and themes: retained as part of the published daily prayer, which is kept in the archive.

Names you have submitted (account feature): kept in aggregate even after your account is deleted.

Usage and device data: retained in aggregate; identifiable installation-level data is deleted or anonymized after no longer needed to complete services

Advertising and measurement data: retained by us and our ad partners for, then deleted or aggregated. Data held by an ad partner is also subject to that partner’s own retention schedule.

Account information: retained until you delete your account, then deleted within 30 days except where we must retain it for legal reasons.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Notifications: turn them on or off in the app or your device settings.

Account deletion: delete your account and associated data from within the app or by contacting bros@zox.co.

Your account: you can review and update your account details, and delete your account, in the app's settings.

Advertising: opt out of personalized advertising using the in-app privacy setting or your device’s ad-tracking controls. See Section 5.4.

Access, correction, deletion, portability: depending on where you live (for example, the EU/EEA, UK, or certain U.S. states such as California, Texas, Colorado, Virginia, and others), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact bros@zox.co. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

Withdrawing consent: where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing already completed.

Because submissions are linked to your account, we can normally locate your information when you make a request. We will verify that a request comes from you, or from an agent authorized to act for you, before we act on it. First names and themes that have already appeared in a published daily prayer cannot be removed from that prayer.

9. Legal Bases for users in the EU/EEA and UK

We process personal information on these bases:

Consent: for prayer submissions (including any sensitive information they contain) and for notifications;

Consent: for advertising, analytics, and any non-essential tracking technology, obtained through a tracking-consent prompt before those technologies are activated;

Contract: to create and maintain your account and to provide the Service;

Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the Service and prevent abuse, balanced against your rights; and

Legal obligation: where required by law.

You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because an account is required, we screen for age when an account is created and do not allow accounts for anyone under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it. We do not knowingly show personalized or targeted advertising to any user under 18, and we do not sell or share the personal information of users under 16 for advertising purposes. Parents or guardians who believe a child under 13 has submitted information may contact us at bros@zox.co.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and limited data retention. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we experience a breach that affects you, we will notify you as required by law.

12. International Users

We are based in the United States, and information is processed and stored on servers in the United States and any other regions used by our providers. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to the U.S., which may have different data protection laws than your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

13. Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control, and Analytics

The app contains advertising and analytics technology, including tracking pixels and third-party SDKs, as described in Section 5. On any web pages we operate, we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal and treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not respond to legacy browser “Do Not Track” headers, which have no agreed standard meaning. Device-level and in-app advertising controls are described in Section 5.4.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in the app with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify you through the app or other reasonable means.
